AGI by 2025? Bro, take your meds (and read the fine print)

Yall seeing these twitter threads about how GPT-5 gonna replace every programmer and artist by Christmas? Man, I been here since 2016 when AlphaGo dropped and everyone said radiologists were finished. Last time I checked my local hospital still got humans reading xrays lol. The copium is strong with this crowd. Every new model drops and its "this is the singularity" for like 48 hours til people realize it still cant count letters in a word or tell you which is heavier, a pound of feathers or a pound of lead. Wake me up when these things stop hallucinating my phone number into existence or making up court cases. Till then, maybe chill with the "humanity obsoleted" takes? Not saying it aint improving but the gap between shiny demo and production reality is massive. Land of the broken promises out here. Keep your expectations lower than your GPU temps.
