Been testing these two preprocessors side by side for my character design workflow. Canny picks up too much noise from my rough sketches and adds weird details I didn't ask for. Lineart keeps the structure clean but sometimes misses the subtle curves I want preserved. For client work, I'm leaning toward Lineart with a low weight setting around 0.6. Gets me 80% there without the cleanup headaches. Anyone else hit this wall? Do you preprocess your sketches to clean lines first, or just throw rough pencils straight into Canny? What weight values are you finding actually useful versus too restrictive? And has anyone tried the new Anyline preprocessor - worth switching from the standard Lineart model? Is depth control even necessary for 2D character work or am I overthinking the 3D consistency?
